Independent Living Support
Independent Living Support (ILS) is a community-based program that provides funding for support services based on an eligible individual’s assessed needs. It helps semi-independent individuals get the support they need to live on their own.
The program promotes independence, safety, and community inclusion through flexible, person-centered support that builds on each individual’s strengths, available resources, and approved service providers.
HomeShare
HomeShare is a supportive living program in Nova Scotia that matches people with disabilities with individuals or families who have space in their homes and are willing to provide varying levels of support. The program helps individuals live more independently in the community while building meaningful relationships, and providers receive funding, training, and ongoing support based on the level of care they provide.
